Recently, the owner of a newly built apartment, for which HouseScout had conducted the rental mediation, contacted us regarding a reported leak in the central heating pipe by the tenant. The owner asked HouseScout to arrange for someone to carry out the repair.
While this is certainly feasible, instead, HouseScout advised the owner to contact the central heating installer and check the warranty. The installer visited the location and confirmed that indeed a pipe repair was needed, which was promptly carried out. This approach prevented a costly repair as the installation was still under warranty. The owner was naturally very pleased with the advice provided by HouseScout!
